Krishna (Telugu actor) Biography

Hattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy, better known by his stage name Krishna, was an Indian actor, director, and producer. On May 31, 1943, he was born, and on November 15, 2022, he died. He is most well known for his work in Telugu cinema. He played a wide range of characters in more than 350 films over the duration of his cinematic career, which lasted five decades. In the media, he is frequently referred to as a “Superstar.” In 2009, the Indian government awarded him the Padma Bhushan honour in honour of his noteworthy contributions to the Indian film industry.

He was elected in 1989 to serve as a Congress party representative in the British Parliament. He also received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award for the South in 1997 in addition to the honorary doctorate from Andhra University in 2008. He died in the early morning hours of November 15, 2022, from a cardiac arrest.

Krishna began his acting career in supporting roles in films like Paruvu Prathishta (1962), Padandi Mundhuku (1962), and Kula Gothralu (1961). (1963).

Raghavendra Rao. He also holds the record for the longest run of collaborations with a single actress, working on more than 48 films with Vijaya Nirmala and more than 47 with Jaya Prada. Early and personal life

Krishna was born at Burripalem on May 31, 1943, which is now a part of the Guntur district of the Andhra Pradesh state. His father is Ghattamaneni Raghavayya Chowdary, and his mother is Nagaratnamma.

Vijaya Nirmala and Indira Devi were Krishna’s spouses while he was alive (1952–2022). (1969–2019). He and his wife, Indira Devi, had five children altogether: Padmavathi, Manjula, Priyadarshini, and two sons, Ramesh Babu and Mahesh Babu. Vijaya Nirmala and Krishna first met on the Sakshi set. Ramesh Babu was a film producer, but Mahesh Babu is regarded as one of the highest-paid actors in Telugu cinema.

Film career

Early work: 1962–1965

He had cameo appearances in supporting roles in early films like Paruvu Prathishta (1962), Padandi Mundhuku (1962), and Kula Gothralu (1961).
